IKM Bintulu, 02 February 2018 : IKM Bintulu has recieved a visit from Deleum representative to disscuss potential collaboration between both organization. A Well Stimulation Specialist from Deleum, Mr Aminulla Khan said that he saw a video about the facilities on IKM Bintulu facebook page that trigger an idea of collaboration. What IKM Bintulu have here (Oil Production Plant) is a complement to what Deleum have in its training centre back in Labuan. Deleum has a complete downhole facilities which they install an onshore well for training purpose while IKM Bintulu has a complete topside facilities which separate water and oil, and it comes with an Operator Training Simulator (OTS) on various process.
The collaboration is hope to enable both organization to mutually conduct learning and training which covers:
Perform well operation and well control
Perform downhole well servicing using slickline tools.
IKM Bintulu Side:
Perform operation of Gas-Oil Separation using simulator (OTS) as per standard operating procedures.
Perform operation of Water-oil separation at plant with effective comunication and teamwork.
IKM Bintulu Deputy Director (Academic Affairs), Encik Ahmad Lukman said that the idea of collaboration is still in the early stage, however both parties are positive towards a successful implementation in the future. This is in line with one of MARA objectives to produce a globalised human capital with integrity.
Mr Aminulla ended the visit with an interactive sharing session on Well Production Services with approximately 50 students of Diploma in Plant Operation Engineering Technology and Diploma in Electrical Installation Engineering Technology.
